Cruise Vacations for Singles over 40
While Caribbean cruises are one of the most popular vacations for singles over 40, you also have the option of going in cruises farther away from home such as European cruises with stops in Spain, Portugal, and the Canary Islands. Malaga, Spain is a lively coastal city, the second largest Spain port, Costa del Sol’s capital, and Pablo Picasso’s homeland. Here you can explore 800 years of history, miles of awe-inspiring beaches, and sunny weather.

Funchal (Madeira), in Portugal is known for its perfect weather all year round, picturesque beaches, volcanic peaks, botanical gardens, and hidden valleys. Here in Madeira, the famous Madeira wine and lace are still made in the old tradition. Tenerife, one the other hand, the largest of all islands in the Canary Islands archipelago, boasts of mile-long beaches, valleys, mountains, and a national park that boasts of an enormous crater.

In Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, also part of the Canary Islands, you’ll find a melting pot of diverse cultures including Spanish, Latin American, African, and Northern European among others. It is also the most populated of all the Canary Islands so you are guaranteed a host of things to do while on vacation. Gran Canaria boasts of different landscapes and climates, with majestic beaches, tropical forests, and snow-capped mountains.

Last but not the least; make sure to visit Lanzarote, one of the more famous destinations in the Canary Islands. Because of this, the World Tourism Organization has awarded Lanzarote a “universal model of sustainable development”.

Glorious Hawaii Vacations for Singles over 40
Experience what the natives call the Spirit of Aloha when you go on Hawaiian vacations for singles over 40. Unarguably, one the most famous tours is the Grand Circle Island Tour which takes you all around Oahu. This is great for first timers in Hawaii or for those seeking more adventures in Oahu even if they’ve been there before.

Coast along the southeast coastline of Oahu, past the famous Sandy Beach and Halona Blowhole, look out towards the Makapuu cliffs and onto the Rabbit Island, and proceed to the Waimanalo’s Homestead lands, and bask in the laidback atmosphere in Kailua. From here, take a trip to Pali Highway and make a pit stop at the Pali lookout, the site of King Kamehameha’s historical last battle and to take in unparalleled views of the coast.

You can also continue on to the hippie towns of Waimea and Haleiwa, where the main attractions during winter season are 30-foot waves. You can also visit other surf spots such as Banzai Pipeline, Ehukai, and Sunset Beach among others, as well as drop by Laie and Kahuka.

With all these wonderful vacations for singles over 40, your days of luxuriating under the sun or roughing it up alone will be over. Vacations for singles over 40 are more than destinations, because you’ll never know, you might actually meet ‘the one’ in one your trips.

I too just turned 50 last October and being a single female and having the freedom to travel now, totally was a bummer to have the big day pass me by and not be able celebrate it the way I had dreamed. I think there should be more options for the over 40 and single travel packages. I can’t be alone in my thoughts of having a love for travel and single, I could just go and do it, but who wants to go exploring the world alone? :( I really wish there were more options out there for connecting singles and travel other than just a cruise to the Caribbean!
